LLYN PENINSULA

FS Guiding are based on the beautiful Llyn Peninsula, near the popular coastal village of Abersoch. FS Guiding operates over the species rich waters of the Llyn coastline, estuarine and river systems. European seabass being the main target, the coastal habitat offers a multitude of extremely productive tidal hotspots, which are not only just a joy to fish, but also to appreciate its extreme natural beauty. A strong focus is also set for mullet, salmon, seatrout and pike. salmon and seatrout are predominately pursued on private estate waters of the Middle Welsh Dee and pike on the rivers lower stretches.


WELSH DEE

The Welsh Dee, near on 70 miles long, offers the lure and fly angler a multitude of species to target. Rising in Snowdonia and travelling through breath-taking Welsh countryside it finally exits into the sea via the estuary, which is nestled between Wales and the Wirral Peninsula.  The Dee, in its middle to upper reaches, is particularly well renowned for salmon, seatrout and grayling and in its less streamy waters of the lower river, holds a healthy head of coarse fish and is a mecca for the serious pike and perch angler.


BALA

Bala Lake (Llyn Tegid), the largest natural lake in Wales, is set in stunning mountainous topography. The lake is over 3½ miles long, ¾ mile wide and over 140 feet deep in places. Bala Lake holds a diverse array of fish species including perch, roach, pike, trout, grayling, eels, along with salmon in the season. With a strong focus on pike, this is certainly a venue not to be missed for the avid lure & predator angler.


LLYN TRAWSFYNYDD

Llyn Trawsfynydd is set in the heart of Snowdonia, between the towns of Porthmadog and Dolgellau. The lake covers an area of 1,200 acres and extends for a total length of approximately 5 miles. Llyn Trawsfynydd is a multi-method lake, where there are large areas available for bank, boat or float tube anglers to fish lure, fly or bait. The Llyn has a healthy stock of game fish and predator species, with a strong head of pike!!!

SALTWATER - Llyn Peninsula

European seabass and mixed saltwater species - May - October


FRESH WATER - Welsh Dee, Llyn Tegid (Bala), Llyn Trawsfynydd

Pike and predators - 15th June - 15th March (during periods of extreme high ambient temperatures we tend to leave the pike alone for them to lie rested, during these periods, as an alternative we can offer carp on the fly, which is super fun sport) Environment Agency rod licence required.

Salmon and Trout - March to October, exclusive fishing on private estate water, Middle Welsh Dee (Environment Agency rod licence required).
